Albert M. McQuiston, II

Al McQuiston owns and operates McQuiston Insurance Agency in Paoli, PA. Al was born and raised in Berwyn, PA. He attended the University of Pennsylvania on a full tuition golf scholarship to obtain his degree in insurance from the Wharton School. His first job was with Equitable Life Insurance. After two and a half years he was offered employment with John Giantonio, a prominent realtor on the western Main Line. John hired Al to handle the insurance transactions of his realty agency. As the company grew, the two men formed a partnership - one that lasted 29 years. Al operated the Giantonio Insurance Agency until John's death in 1987. He then changed the name to McQuiston Insurance Agency.

Over the years, Al has staffed his office with a handful of dedicated employees. In 1984, his son, Jeff, joined the agency after graduation from Georgetown University. Jeff was joined, in 1987, by his sister, Bonnie, a graduate of Lehigh University. They have since been joined by another sister in 2000, Sheila, a graduate of Cabrini College. This is truly a family business.

The business of insurance has evolved rapidly and Al has seen so many changes that it is hard to suprise him with news. He usually figures out the general direction where things were headed before it happens. He is popular with his clients for "telling it like it is".
